New Orleans-born owner brews premium coffee and warm Southern hospitality on the Mississippi Coast
Gulfport, MS (RestaurantNews.com) PJ’s Coffee, the iconic brand known for its high-quality beans, small-batch roasting and signature cold-drip iced coffee, will celebrate the arrival of its first Gulfport location on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 9347 U.S. 49.
To sip, mingle and raise a cup of joe to the new spot in town, PJ’s will welcome friends, family and coffee enthusiasts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with complimentary samples of fresh pastries and select signature beverages, while supplies last.
After more than 20 years as a commercial insurance underwriter, franchisee Wendy J. Bowen set her sights on bringing PJ’s close-knit community and top-notch coffee to Gulfport. As a New Orleans native, Bowen was drawn to the brand’s French Quarter roots and commitment to quality, and she aspires to become involved locally while sharing what makes PJ’s Coffee a perfect addition to the coastal city.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to open my own PJ’s Coffee across state lines,” said Bowen. “New Orleans will always hold a special place in my heart, and this brand represents everything I love about home. My goal is to create an inviting gathering place for residents, visitors and anyone looking for a great cup of coffee.”
PJ’s Coffee Gulfport will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The remodeled 2,800-square-foot coffee shop features a drive-thru and is located just half a mile past the Gulfport Premium Outlets, making it an easy stop for commuters, students and families alike looking for a morning pick-me-up or a mid-shopping caffeine break.
With the celebration arriving just in time for the holidays, guests can expect PJ’s festive seasonal sips such as the new Jingle Bells Shaken Espresso with rich flavors of cinnamon and hazelnut, the classic Peppermint Bark Velvet Ice with decadent white chocolate and the Gingerbread Chai Latte with cozy spices – alongside classics such as PJ’s Original Cold Brew Iced Coffee
